1/4 inch cut and sifted pieces of white willow bark. The active extract of the bark, called salicin, is a derivative of salicylic acid. As such, it is chemically similar to the active component of aspirin.
Tea: Steep 1 Tablespoon in hot water for 5 - 10 minutes
Infusions: Combine with carrier oil or honey
Aromatherapy: Add to water bath or potpourri
Tinctures: Soak in suitable medium for several weeks (faster with use of double boiler)
